Church remodel: Winter of 2025 Near Fredonia, Ks.
We took a kitchen & bathroom that was built in 1990 or so & completely revamped and enlarge it. It involved cutting out concrete to move the plumbing installing a steel I-beam to support the floor above. We replaced the roof on the church with a standing seam metal roof in 2019.
Barndominium: Summer 2021 Near Fredonia, KS
Note the permacolumns in the foundation picture. This is a great option because with no wood in the ground, there's no potential for rotting. This owner transformed this barndominium into a beautiful hunting lodge! The stairs, railing, and cabinets are built from barn wood. The countertop is concrete.
Remodel Job: spring 2022, Independence, KS area
We put in an addition in the back of this house, starting with digging out the crawl space and foundation work. Notice the interesting roof line. We also extended the front porch, so it was a bit challenging figuring out how to tie everything in! The house also got new siding and laminate flooring. I was very happy with how it turned out, and so was the owner!
Barndominium: 2019, near Fredonia, KS
This cute little barndo started out as a weekend cottage, but the owners loved Kansas so well that they moved here permanently. Again, permacolumns are used in the foundation to avoid the risk of rotting wood. The space doubles as a shop for parking equipment. Notice the cedar planks stairway with the spindles made from painted rebar. It looks great with the western style decor!
Old Mill Dam Renovation: spring 2019, Fredonia, KS
I consider this the most interesting project our team has tackled to date! We renovated the old building, which involved literally hanging out over the river with scaffolding. It was a fun & challenging job.
